The World Curling Tour hits the city of Brandon, Manitoba which is hosting the 2010 Manitoba Lotteries Fall Classic. The event, which will dish out $31,000 this weekend, has been dominated by Manitoba's own Jeff Stoughton. This year, however, the title is wide open as Stoughton's crew will be absent from the event.
Among the favorites to take home the top prize this year are Rob Fowler, Joel Jordison, former Stoughton teammate Kevin Park, and veteran Vic Peters.
The first draw gets underway 6pm local time on Friday evening. The event runs until Monday evening.
The championship team will pocket $8,000, with second place grabbing $5,000. Third and fourth place teams will each claim $3,500, while the remaining playoff qualifiers will get $2,700 each.
